ClpbrdPlus
ClpbrdPlus is built around a simple idea: a clipboard tool should help you without watching you. Clipboard contents stay on your Mac, and the app does not collect user data.
TL;DR
No tracking- accounts.
- cloud sync.
- telemetry.
- analytics SDKs.
- advertising SDKs.
- profiling.
- remote clipboard processing.
- selling or sharing user data.
Local Processing
On deviceClpbrdPlus processes clipboard history and link cleaning locally on your device. The app does not upload clipboard contents to GeekToyBox, third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud storage.
Link sanitization also happens locally. When ClpbrdPlus removes tracking fields from copied URLs, that work is performed on your Mac.
History Storage
EncryptedClipboard history is optional and local. If persistent history is enabled, ClpbrdPlus stores saved clips in a local encrypted cache file on your Mac.
The macOS Keychain stores only the local encryption key needed to unlock that encrypted cache. Clipboard contents are not stored in Keychain.
ClpbrdPlus includes a readable cache viewer so you can inspect what the app can decrypt from its local cache. The viewer does not create a separate unencrypted cache file.
Sensitive Items
Best effortClpbrdPlus uses local, best-effort detection for likely sensitive clipboard items such as passwords, tokens, private keys, and recovery phrase-like text.
Sensitive items can be hidden from previews, excluded from disk persistence, cleared when your Mac locks, and removed from history after a short delay. Detection cannot be perfect, so users remain in control of these settings.
Permissions
User initiatedClpbrdPlus may ask for Accessibility permission so the Paste command can work from the menu bar. When you choose Paste, the app writes the selected item to the system clipboard, returns focus to the previously active app, and sends the standard Cmd+V keyboard shortcut.
ClpbrdPlus uses Accessibility permission only for user-initiated paste actions. Without this permission, the app can still copy the selected item back to the clipboard, but it cannot automatically paste into another app.
macOS may also show a Keychain prompt when ClpbrdPlus needs to read the local encryption key for its encrypted cache.
Purchases
Handled by AppleClpbrdPlus uses Apple's App Store purchase system for paid history-capacity upgrades and optional tips. Purchases are handled by Apple. ClpbrdPlus does not receive your payment card details.
Apple App Store Statistics
Aggregate onlyApple may provide developers with aggregate App Store information, such as sales, downloads, crash reports, or broad OS version statistics. ClpbrdPlus does not add custom analytics, tracking, telemetry, or profiling of its own.
Changes
Policy updatesThis policy may be updated as ClpbrdPlus evolves. Any meaningful privacy change should be reflected here before or alongside the related app update.
